My Behavior Plan
In my classroom we focus on supporting desired behaviors by providing students a positive school climate. Interventions are given to students depending on how severe their behavior is. Below I have included my three tiers of student behaviors along with how I intend to provide individualized interventions to my students.

Also to further encourage positive behavior from my students I will implement a reward system that recognizes the efforts of all students.
Positive Behavior Intervention
(PBIS)
My Reward System
For my student rewards I plan to have tiered reward systems: Individual, group, and class this way students have the opportunity to practice working towards goals as both an individual and a group.
In my class I expect to have a diverse group of students. I think that having multiple methods of earning a reward will also be beneficial to my different types of students.
Individual
Rewards
Students will come into class with this sticker chart sitting on their desk. They will have four opportunities throughout the day to earn a sticker, 2 in the morning and then 2 in the afternoon. The students can exchange their stickers for small prizes.
-
Bring in Agenda to class
-
Proper behavior during silent reading
-
Report of good behavior from elective teachers (lunch, music, P.E, etc)
-
Successful transition to dismissal

Group
Rewards
Students will work to grow a flower garden with the members of their table. Each flower part will be worth points that can be traded for group experiences.
-
All group members bring in their homework completed
-
Group has a successful transition
-
Group members demonstrate good citizenship to their peers
When given a point a random group member will be able to roll a dice to pick a flower part

Class
Rewards
As a class my students will work together to earn whole class points. At the beginning of the year while we create our behavior contract we will also discuss different reward ideas and point values.
When the class performs one of the behaviors that fills our jar I will add a point to their jar. Once the class has reached the total points they will get their reward!

Managing
Classroom
Behaviors
To help my students that need more individualized behavior intervention I plan to set them up with a mentor around the school that they can meet with to discuss their progress on their behavioral goals. This will help my students by creating an environment that they feel supported in.
Significant Behaviors
Actions that can be harmful to individual or peers
Discrimination towards any individual
Physical aggression towards any individual
3 Levels of Inappropriate Behaviors
Moderate Behaviors
Disruptive actions that affect peers
Audible noises that interfere with learning
Using rude/disrespectful language
Minimal Behaviors
Disruptive actions that affect individual
Getting out of seat without permission
Not following directions effectively
I will use this chart to gather data about my student behavior so that I can see what actions I need to take to make a change
